Arianna Huffington, founder of The Huffington Post and one of the most famous female entrepreneurs in the US, has called on leaders of governments and businesses alike to sleep more, and place less emphasis on the old-fashioned metrics for success, fame and power.

“Defining success in terms of just money and power is like a two-legged stool,” she told The Telegraph at the One Young World Summit in Johannesburg. “You see a lot of famous and successful people toppling off.” She adds: “Sleep deprivation is for losers. Sleep deprived people make the wrong decisions. They miss the whispers and the signs and red flags.”
