Falling asleep on the road can lead to seriously scary results. Recently, researchers have discovered that long haul truck drivers may be experiencing “microsleep” moments — falling asleep for a time so short that they don’t even remember. (Forbes)

Looking for a seat in your favorite coffee shop? Oregon-based startup Workfrom has found a way to help you get around those dreaded coffee shop seat-hoggers. They’ve installed technology in the door frame of a business’s entrance to count people coming in and out. The device then transmits the count to the web or a database for analysis, and Workfrom identifies which shops are full and which have some space for you to crank out some work. (Wired)

We’ve heard over and over that our eyes rapidly move back and forth during REM. But have we ever asked why? According to a recent study, our eyes may be actually visualizing new images that we “see” in our dreams. In fact, they may even be responding to those images in a very similar way we respond to seeing something while awake. (Huffington Post)
